If you have a slope on your property, you can control excess water flows which contribute to soil erosion on the slope and other landscape drainage problems. Deciding where to start your drainage creek and the path it should take on your property is best left to a landscape designer. Once you start digging up your yard to enable the dry creek flow you've set your direction. Rocks, drainage pipes and landscapers fabric can all come into play when building drainage creeks.
